How it works
Profoxydim is a selective post-emergent herbicide that provides effective control against grasses by inhibiting weed growth and eventually, leading to death of weeds. It targets the acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCAse) which is crucial for biosynthesis of fatty acid in plants.
Do's and Don'ts
- Spray application should be done once morning dew was gone to avoid phytotoxicity in rice.
- Spray application should be done in a normal walking pace. Do not overspray on areas with high population of weeds and avoid over application on overlapping areas.
- Flushing of water should be done 2-3 days after spray application.
